  1. ……….(I have no words)…………

Howard, you will be sorely missed. It is to my great regret that you were never able to make it to our Mother Jones Dinner. La Lutta Continua.

    Peace.

  2. I love Howard Zinn. He’s part of the reason I decided to become a teacher. I intend to use A People’s History of the United States and the graphic novel that goes with it in my classroom. And I’ll be teaching elementary school. It’s never too early to learn the truth about American history!

  3. People’s History of the United States changed my life when I read it as a teenager. He will be sorely missed here. RIP. Prof. Zinn.

(Not to make light of the situation, but this is one of those days I envy those of you who don’t have any conservative friends. I posted one of the articles announcing his death on Facebook and I’m sure the 3 of them who know who he is will post something insulting and stupid on there in just a matter of time…)
