Startling Coulter

Remember this?:

“You say that you believe in the sanctity of marriage,” said Ajai Raj, an English sophomore. “How do you feel about marriages where the man does nothing but fuck his wife up the ass?”

Raj has given an explanation for the comment and details his arrest. Personally, his account is not only vitriolic and juvenile, but guiltily hilarious.

  1. Why are you people so vulgar and rude?

Didn’t your momma’s teach you any manners?

  2. “You people.” I don’t think you’re going to get far by addressing a question to “you people.” I’m as responsible for what he said as you are responsible for what Coulter says.

And did you read his explanation? Underneath the strong language is a valid point.

  3. Wow, there’s nothing more polite than kicking in someone’s door and arresting them for sodomy, is there? Or telling them that they are perverts and they shouldn’t have a right to marry because it makes you uncomfortable to think of two men having sex with each other? When I’m looking for gentile company, I wander over to the Free Republic to take in polite language about bitches and fags and whatnot.

  4. You mean underneath his “masturbatory gestures”?

You seem to find the whole vulgarity humorous, that’s why you’ve glorified him on your blog, which means you also have a vulgar mind. I’ve noticed it’s a common trait “you people” have.

And who says I’m trying to win an argument or make converts? After the next census and redistribution of electoral college votes (2016, I believe) it will be virtually impossible for “you people” to win anything. Our victory is assured.

Then we will take your precious abortions away from you.

The third wave will go down with a whimper.

    🙂

    XOXOX

  5. You see, the problem is that mere “gestures” just don’t cut it in our jaded society. He could have then become the first male to the left of Vlad the Impaler to have actually masturbate to Ann Coulter.

  6. Where did my post go?

I didn’t say anything obscene like everybody else.

I just answered a direct question made to me.

  7. Does vulgarity make you uncomfortable billy? Are you a little sensitive? Why don’t you go play with the other kids and let the grown ups talk for awhile.

  8. I would have liked to have had him mention the word rape, but I guess that was just too much for him. Anal sex is bad, but anal rape is unmentionable?

  11. Fuck. I changed the headline on that post. Stupid fucking trackbacks. Goddamn, I am an inept blogger.

And a vulgar one at that.

You can dump any of those trackback pings if you want. I mean, of course you can, but you have my blessing, too. Sorry.

  12. You know you’ve got them in the corner when they start in with the “obscenity” stuff. My faves are the ones who preach at me for cussing because it’s not ladylike. Ya’ think?

  13. I’m not fond of the poster girl for the right. She’s right up there with Falwell, Hannity, Rush and several whose name escapes my tired brain right now. I find them very offensive. Offensive if not for their rhetoric, for their arrogance.

I don’t know how Raj should have protested; how he should have made his feelings known. I don’t think the means he chose were proper or particularly effective. Sure, he received a lot of press and kudos from his peers. It solved nothing. It contributed nothing to positive dialogue. I merely showed him to be a loud mouthed, vulgar person.

As foul mouthed as I am, I probably shouldn’t say this, but vulgarity is totally out of place in most venues. Does it shock or offend me? No. Does it impress me? Not hardly. Has nothing to do with being a ‘gentleman’ or ‘lady’.

Should people, like Coulter, that espouse such ignorance and vitriol be called on it? You bet.

Should Raj be surpised he was called on it and subjected to some rough handling? Nope. There are always consequences.

  14. I’m 60. Long as I don’t get stupid and wear my Fuck Bush t-shirt, I should be able to get the chance to ask that exact same question of this creepy woman next time she’s foolish enough to have a “forum” in my town.

How about it? Maybe she should be asked this question whenever in her sad life the opportunity presents itself? Any volunteers?

  15. BillyHW: Re “And then we will take your precious abortions away from you.”

No you won’t. The worst anyone could do is make them illegal. In which case we will still have them, just not legally.

And the only way the Third Wave will ever go down is if it is overtaken by the Fourth Wave.

How screwed up do you have to be to think that describing a sex act is somehow more vulgar than all the huge amounts of bigotry and hate speech that woman has spewed over her career?

Good luck with your “Ask Coulter” plan, Kit. I could probably pull off the “sweet, virginal, church-going College Republican” thing long enough to get a similar opportunity, but I’d probably lose it and ask her how she can call herself a human being after she sends someone away in tears. In any case, I’m not sure it would be worth it, as I cannot turn into a seagull once I’m there. And I refuse to waste perfectly good salad dressing on her.

  16. Reactionary conservatives like Billyboy talk about “you people”. Liberals talk about “We the People”. Who do you think is more American? (Read the Constitution for the answer.)

Incidentally, I have been honored by being officially under surveillance by a conservative blog. I am so flattered! They’re scared of me!
