Au revoir from Mr. J!

Dear Good People of Feministe,

First of all, I know some of you have been confused by my nickname, Mr. J. Despite the male connotation of Mr., I am not a gentleman. I am, in fact, a lady. A very nice lady. My name is Mahlena-Rae Johnson. I bolded the initials there so you could see the derivation.

Thank you all for having me here for the past two weeks. Thank you again to Jill. I have sincerely appreciated having such a vibrant forum where I can 1) spout my snarky opinions every day, and 2) get constructive feedback. Feel free to pay me a blog-visit whenever you like at SteveThePenguin.com. I love comments. And if you have a blog, make sure to include a link, so I can pay you a blog-visit, too!

For you readers who want even more of me, but in a handy travel-sized format, you can pick up my book, Steve the Penguin:

It’s available on Amazon.com, or you can get autographed copies directly from the Official Steve the Penguin Store.

I leave you with a final quote from my doppelgänger Daria Morgendorffer:

Smart is not a four letter word. That would be smar.

  1. So Daria is your doppelganger, too? I’m so happy that you guest blogged here! It was like having twice the nutritional goodness of Steve the Penguin! I’ll see you at your blog!

  2. Merci for raising the bar. I especially liked “Having a think, saving the world” and “Raindrops on roses and whispers on kittens”. Your wit, candor, eloquence, and intriguing sense of humor will be missed. See you at Steve the Penguin.

  3. Hey Mr. J, thanks for you posts, and thanks for bring the discussion on Pixar’s representation of women over here. I have had a lot of interesting conversations with my friends and family as a result of the post.

I will definitely check out your blog!
