In defense of the sanctimonious women's studies set || First feminist blog on the internet

Dear Judith Regan,

I see that you’ve decided to publish O.J. Simpson’s account of how he killed (or, excuse me, how he theoretically would kill) his ex-wife Nicole Brown. I’m asking that, instead of profitting from the book’s sales, you donate all the proceeds to a domestic violence organization and use his confession to help other women like yourself and Nicole Brown. I’m contacting Barnes & Noble and Borders to ask them to do the same.

I hope other people will do the same. Write letters to Judith Regan here.

Idea via Rox. Spread the word.

UPDATE: The book deal has been dropped by HarperCollins. However, I’m fairly certain that Regan will try and pitch the book to other publishers. We’ll keep you all updated.

  1. They’re pulling the book and the interviews – I guess enough people expressed their utter disgust that even Fox/Murdoch decided it was beyond the pale. I doubt it was a matter of decency given those involved. More likely they decided they wouldn’t make enough money but I’m still glad it’s not going to be published.

  2. One amusing thing is that Bill O’Reilly called for a boycott of “any company” that stood to profit from the Simpson interview. He either didn’t know or didn’t care that he was calling for a boycott of HIS OWN COMPANY.

And what was O.J. thinking? Anyone who got away with murder like he did should be grateful enough to just shut up for the rest of his life.
