Support Ms. Magazine — Do it Now! October 4, 2006 Jill See this AOL article and poll on Ms. Magazine’s We Had Abortions campaign. Take the poll and support the magazine and women who are being honest about their choices.
All I can say with regards to the results and the “discussions” thereof is that the more I encounter AOL users, the more firmly convinced I become that they’re all twelve years old with their heads up their asses.
Sara, I was on AOL a long time ago, in the early nineties when they were first up and running and were a pay-by-the-minute operation. Then it was a small community of intelligence, sometimes strange (lots of libertarians)people, unfortunately, mostly men. Then the ‘unlimited’ time payment method opened the floodgates and the intelligence level went down overnight. I left shortly after. AOL is like a night at the VFW Hall, the church potluck or the corner store. A good slice of working class America. Which is scary when you dare to look.
