  3. i’m having trouble thinking of something much more disturbing than that shirt. and it reminds me just how important it is for men to get involved in the movement if we want to change the gender roles and cultural values that perpetuate sexual assault and violence against women.

    but mostly it just makes my blood boil.

  4. Anyone wearing that shirt should get jumped, raped and beaten and then told, “We didn’t think you were awake!”

    I’ve never seen anyone wearing such a shirt, but then again, i don’t go where people such as that (frat boy age) would hang out. THank god or I’d be out of my mind with rage and I might cause a scene by being the bitch who has to cause a scene over every damn thing some poor boy does or says.

  5. That shirt is disgusting.

    I checked out the poll & the “too pretty to do math” shirt reminds me of one I saw in a David & Goliath store that said “Who needs brains when you have these?”
    The irony was that the shirts were cut so small, you really couldn’t have “them” & fit even the XL.
    I went looking for it at their website, to no avail, but I found a plethora of other disturbing apparel, including the throw rocks at boys shirt, & “No Means No well maybe if I’m drunk!” And others about breasts, & again, I’m sure the irony is lost on the twits who buy them.

    Admittedly some of the stuff they have is cute (I have a pair of I love me undies from them), but it seems like every other shirt they print is disturbing.

  6. I actually saw a shirt worse than that a few days ago (I think it was from T-Shirt Hell, but I can’t find it online). “It ain’t rape if the bitch is already dead.”

    The worst part is that I saw it on a guy. Someone actually felt it appropriate to buy—and wear outside.

    Trust me, the guys who would wear it are probably not averse to being raped in this fashion. They confuse it with bdsm, they confuse it with role playing, they confuse it with a game. They see rape as everything other than serious abuse.

    And many of them *are* into women “raping” them with dildoes.

    the shirt is apalling, moreso because it’s message has followers.
