  1. Hurrah for you! Where I live, there are 4 within a 10 mile radius of either my home or job and I spend far too much time in them.

  2. Mmmm, spinach dip… I will try it.

    This is truly the greatest news I’ve gotten in a while. Every time I go home to Seattle, I end up dragging a ton of Trader Joe’s stuff back with me. My sister is visiting this week, and my mom was sure to send her with my favorite margherita pizzas and crabcakes. I can’t wait until I can do all my grocery shopping there — I just hope they carry Charles Shaw at their wine store. Yet another reason to move back downtown.

  3. :: snicker ::

    We’ve got a TJs about 5 minutes drive from the house.

    Every time we go in the people doing food samples put out some extras when they see my 4-year old in the cart.

    He is known to them…

    And my better half has noted that the Joes filled ginger cookies not only use no hydrogenated fats, but can be sent to Mom, The Vegetarian…

  4. i’m getting one near me too! i’m beside myself. i swear, it’s impossible to get fresh produce out here EXCEPT at trader joe’s….i don’t know if that’s a philly thing, or an east coast thing, but it makes me miss the west coast.

  5. really? there’s a garden of eden right by union square, and while i have never been to trader joes, i *have* been to garden of eden, and there’s no way trader joes can be better. (i mean, does trader joes sell marzipan monkeys with enormous marzipan bottles of booze? i ask you now…)

  6. I love Garden of Eden, and go to the one on Union Square often, but Trader Joe’s is dirt cheap. That is one reason why it’s amazing.

  7. Garden of Eden is its own special supermarket fun. Trader Joe’s won’t be as cheap as it is in the burbs, but their food is quality, and very veggie friendly. If only there were a wegmans in NYC… that might stir some faith in god for me.

  8. See..your Mom does read your blog. I am glad you enjoyed the Trader Joes food and spirits!! Now onto reading your entries…am I going to blush??? Jill’s Mom
