But doesn’t homeboy have the exact same voice as Dwight Schrute?

  1. Objecting before they even know what they’re objecting to? WTF? Tragic, yet perversely ironic, to see the conservatives just reveal the naked sexism right out in the open like this.

By the way, comparing the guy’s voice to Dwight Schrute is a little insulting to Dwight. The voice is damn close though.

  2. That was incredibly f*ked.

Sometimes I wish there was a magic powder that we could sprinkle into sexist guy’s coffee that would turn them into women for a year.

Where is Willow when you need her?

  3. Well, well, well. Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) is officially on my shit list – – whoops looks like he’s already listed. Been getting alot of those double and triple listings lately.

and Can we go there? Angrily? Furiously? Ragefully? I don’t have a car, but I’ve got some gas money, and a really bad attitude.

    but no joke, this:
that was devastating, truly and personally devastating.

  4. TTWN, he knows perfectly well what he’s objecting to. The Subject line said it: he’s objecting to a Democratic woman speaking on the record about healthcare. And I’d bet anything he wouldn’t attempt this sort of childish bullying with a man he disagreed with.

  5. What. An. ASS. I put forth that the “gentleman” in question is 12 years old — “I don’t like what’s being said/who’s saying it, so I’m going to be obnoxious and interrupt them continually so they can’t get a full sentence out of their mouth. *That’ll* show ’em!”

Also, I guess I just don’t get congressional procedure — how can you *get* to object to someone else’s statement without it having been heard? Is that actually in the rules or was he truly just being a super huge ass?

  6. Even MPs in parliamentary systems aren’t this childish. They may heckle each other during debate, but they won’t try to stifle debate by repeating objections to stop discussion before the member with the floor can get two words out of their mouths.

The entire business around the Stupak amendment is shameful. It’s interesting how conservatives who run their mouths about the horrors of gubmint-run health care have no problem interfering with a woman’s health-care decisions. Hypocritical thugs.

    Cactus – good point.

  8. Oh my gosh this makes me rage so hard. I read about it, but watching it just makes me even angrier. What is it with people not letting others FINISH THEIR FREAKING SENTENCES before they disagree?

  9. “…What is it with people not letting others FINISH THEIR FREAKING SENTENCES before they disagree?…”

This is just a continuation of what the GOP members of the House were doing to the freshman Democratic members when the GOP idiots were objecting to and demanding clarification to unrelated issues, and refusing to yield time when asked, in an effort to get the freshman members to get get angry and utter something that could be taken out of context and made into soundbites for use at reelection time.

    Now it’s just more nekkid
