What’s really amazing about this is the speed at which ‘Newsweek Lied, People Died’ became a mantra for the Right; within 24 hours, every winger with a blog was parroting this shit ad infinitum and ad nauseam. The right-wing echo chamber is truly a well-oiled propaganda machine.

Fucking worthless hypocrites all of you. Fuck you to every one of you assholes pretending to suddenly care about how many Muslims die.

Apparently, “lied to get into a war that has cost $200 billion, killed 1600 servicemen, wounded another 25,000, and killed tens of thousands of civilians” is now equivalent to “getting burned by a Pentagon source on a story that had already been reported in the European press for over a year, leading to a few riots.”

    The reactionaries and revisionists are not waiting to see whether they’re a winner who will write history. Better to shape reality in real-time.

Fitz…Bush lied to everyone about the existence of WMD and his reasoning for starting a war with Iraq. Ignore it, spin it, do whatever you wish with it. But, we all must live with it now. It is what happened and we are there. You present a short sited and reactionary moral, two states which I believe are the very antithesis of the purpose of morals in stories. “Dont inflame the Muslims with stories that are not true”. Where did you hear it wasn’t true? You have only heard as the rest of us have that a source backed away when the shit hit the fan. There has been nothing but an apology and a retracted story. No evidence to suggest it’s not true. Granted it’s hard to believe that the same people who would smear blood on a Muslim and tell him it was menstrual and not allow him to clean himself might flush his holy book down a toilet, but I request you stretch your mind to consider the liklihood of these acts being perpetrated by a similar mindset. That’s a run on. Really, it must be.
