  1. I’ve been looking at the Hold the babies site and the awe on those kids faces, especially the one with the two boys looking at Obama, just make me cry.

  2. These are great photos, but I’m looking forward to seeing more images of little girls (especially girls of color) with that awestruck “I want to be that when I grow up” look on their faces.

  3. I have one almost like this as my Facebook profile. It’s Obama hugging a little white boy. These pics always get me faklempt. America could use a huge interracial huge right now.

  4. I saw this earlier today, and being the mother of a son, and grandma to a grandson, I was all choked up. Look at those little boys, the seriousness, the awe. Michael Jordan was great but this is so much more amazing.

But I’m with Victoria, how come there are no little girls, at least little girls of color in this collection of pictures? Women are 51% percent of the population.

There was an interview somewhere with Michelle O. where she talked about after Obama had clinched the dem nomination. And the day after, the family was talking about how historic the event was. And one of her daughters said, it would have been historic if Hillary Clinton had won, too, wouldn’t it? From the mouths of babes.

  5. This picture – or rather, one taken just seconds before or after it, but essentially the same image – has been on the home page of the Chicago Tribune’s site for weeks now. I absolutely love it.
