  2. With honest answers:

4% You’re a complete liberal, utterly without a trace of Republicanism. Your strength is as the strength of ten because your heart is pure. (You hope.)

Answering along the lines of the conservative blogs I’ve been reading lately:

86% You listen to a lot of AM talk radio, don’t you?

    Answering as an ultra-loony, LGFer:

102% The only way left to save the democratic ideals of the Founders is to overthrow the elected administration in a patriotic revolution!

How old is this thing, anyway?

  3. You are: 27% Republican.

You’re probably one of those people who still thinks that getting a blowjob is not an impeachable offense.

i swear, it’s only because i found the “nuke the entire middle east” option too funny not to pick. and maybe my longstanding technocratic love of breeder reactors had something to do with it, too. but, really, truly, i still am a leftist despite all that! i promise!

…ok, so i went back and changed those two, and i got to -1% without further modifications. whew, that’s a relief.

  6. i’m 2% republican too–but i think it’s because i prefer women in the house and the senate rather than digging their spike heels into my bleeding back, but, hey, that’s just me.

anybody get a score more liberal than -14% republican? i’d be interested to see exactly how far to the left the spectrum goes in that poll. i mean, if you can get 102% republican, i should think you can also get -102% republican, else that poll is badly biased, because it assumes the “center” is roughly 44% republican (assuming -14% republican is the low end of the spectrum).

  7. well, to answer my own question, i was able to get -48% republican, and i’m pretty sure that’s the most liberal end of the spectrum. i tried changing my answers to get a higher score, but that was the ceiling–er, floor.

here are the answers i used to get -48% republican:

A woman’s place is with her sisters, working and raising strong womynchildren.

    Taxes. Stamp out the rich!

The Bush family is the most successful organized crime family in history. (although, if you choose “a convenient front for the interests that hold the real power” it does not change your score.)

    Hitler. Typical of the Patriarchy.

Social Security is the trojan horse which Congress has used to impose an ever more regressive overall tax rate.

Israelis vs. Palestinians. Holy crap, what do we do? Impose sanctions on Israel and cut off their aid until they make genuine peace.

Is the media biased? Blatantly. The spread of “fair and balanced” Faux News-ism is turning the whole broadcast industry into an extention of talk radio hate propaganda.

Global warming, pollution, endangered species… What do we do for our poor planet? Ban industry. Starve and freeze in the dark.

Ronald Reagan was the best thing we could have had, because the way he impoverished the working classes brought eventual Socialist revolution much closer.

i just want to say, i find this poll ludicrous. i know it’s not serious or scientific, and i shouldn’t take it seriously. the upper end of the spectrum, so far as i can tell, is actually 148% republican–“You think the Klan and the Nazis are too soft. Probably because they let in too many closet gays.” so, here’s the answers i used to get that score, and, yes, i know i’m spending way too much time and space on this, but, um, i like polls?

A woman’s place is at my feet, screaming for mercy.

Taxes. The rich should be exempt, and the poor should be shot.

The Bush family is America’s salvation in these troubled times. God is indeed on our side!

Hitler. He had the right idea.

Social Security is the disastrous misstep that broke down Constitutional limits on federal responsibility and turned us from a free Republic into a welfare state.

Israelis vs. Palestinians. Holy crap, what do we do? Nuke the Jews first, then the Ay-rabs..

Is the media biased? Blatantly. Their frequent lack of support for the President indicates a corrupt anti-American leftist bias.

Global warming, pollution, endangered species… What do we do for our poor planet? Environmentalism is a farrago of lies created by enemies of America who want us all to starve and freeze in the dark.

Ronald Reagan was just another unwitting tool of the One World Government conspiracy.

you know, i have to say, i’m not sure who gets the worst of it in this poll, right wing extremists or left wing extremists, which, i suppose, is to the poll’s credit. it’s interesting that the “center,” according to this poll, is 50% republican–which is technically correct, though in practice probably not. i’d argue that the middle is actually less than 50% republican, but i’m only 2% republican, so what do i know about it. thus endeth my excessively long comment.

  9. The quiz had a bunch of stupid answers to the questions which I wouldn’t answer, but answering the most plausible ones I got a perfect score of 0%. Less than most of you right wing fascists but I still think I should have got a more radical negative score.

  10. I’m surprised I got only -4%. However, “damn Commie” really is the word many people would use to label me. I’m not even American, after all (psssssst: who is “Tailgunner Joe”?).

  11. You are a damn Commie! Where is Tailgunner Joe when you need him?

I just googled it and I got the joke. Heh. Indeed (ad lib.).

  12. Hmm…3% Republican. I answered the media question badly, though…I couldn’t resist grammar policing.

If I answer like I really think (reluctant to challenge the power structure), then I drop to -1%. Excellent.

  13. 10% republican. You’re a tax-and-spend liberal democrat. People like you are the reason everyone else votes for guys like Reagan or George W.

When I changed the media question ( I couldn’t resist either, I’m in educational publishing). I got the more respectable 2%.
