Let’s Celebrate

June is the month of a great many Pride Parades and other events. Some of them are listed here. What’s going on in your neck of the woods?

  1. Well, just went to the pretty phenomenal Seoul Pride events yesterday. The parade was superfun, as were the performance by the queer samulnori band and the games they led afterward… Perfect weather too! Unfortunately I couldn’t stay for the queer all-women punk band that started playing just as I left, but it looked like a huge and appreciative crowd was enjoying their music.

  2. I already went to Pride! Phoenix has its Pride in April, because if we had it in June, we would all die of heatstroke.

  3. We (in Phoenix) had ours in APRIL, but June is far too hot — who wants to party outside when it’s supposed to be 109 tomorrow?!

Sadly, I couldn’t make it this year, but last year was fun!

  5. And d’oh, Panopticon already said exactly what I said! Also, sorry for any double posting; the internets don’t seem to be liking me much today.

  6. I grew up in NYC with super liberal parents. I work at a gigantic gay organization. And this year will be my first pride (finally!!). I’m excited, though I hear LA pride is kinda lame…
