Shameless self-promotion Sunday

Let’s have it.

  1. Marching proudly backwards to the future. After too many years of ranting about religious conservatives wanting to turn the clock back to when women stayed at home and submitted, men didn’t get in touch with their feelings, white guys ran everything, and there were no activist judges, my wife and I wrote “The Department of Homeland Decency: Decency Rules and Regulations Manual.” It was just published by Three Rivers Press, is available everywhere, and is guaranteed to make you laugh at the fools in charge.

“Words are the saplings of indecency, and pretty soon you have a forest that needs to be burned down.”

  2. I’ve been out of commission for a couple weeks, but the Bitch is back and refuses to stay quiet! I waded back into blogging a couple days ago with a comment on that idiot who heckled Hillary.

  3. My partner gave birth to our daughter on Friday. So I’m not so much promoting what I did, but what she did. Birth story to come soon if you’re so inclined.

    Blog here.
    Pictures here.
Why we chose a midwife here (mainly to explain to our family).

  4. Over at Orange Satan I go into the current same-sex marriage debate in my beautiful state of Maryland and how you – YOU – can help us get a win this year, or at a minimum pressure the General Assembly into making a civil unions bill with the maximum politically possibly strength as a reluctant fallback.

  5. I wrote smart things this week! Whee!

Talk About, a post about many things — language, anger, handholding, educating, AND MORE! — based on a comment on someone else’s blog.

Why I Teach and Why It Matters, a post which is patently self-explanatory but inspired by, again, someone else’s blog.

But if you don’t like smart writing, there’s plenty of fluff too. Geeky fun for everyone! Voila! My blog is MULTIPURPOSE! It’ll make you think, give ya giggles, and provide plenty of excuses to ramble at length in someone else’s comment box when asked to share some of my writing. Heh.
