Stomach-turning headline of the day: “Christopher Hitchens’ Guide to Bathroom Sex”

Luckily, that headline is only on Slate’s front page; the actual article title doesn’t bring up the same kind of horrible mental images.

  1. hitch is my favorite trotskyist. sure he’s disagreeable and nasty, but he does it with such flair. who else is willing to take on mother teresa?

and according to alex cockburn he was quite handsome before alcohol got the best of him. i’d much rather see him tapping his foot in the stall than michael moore. (although i’d only open my stall door for the likes of katrina van den heuvel.)

  2. Is that supposed to be praiseworthy?

i hear u DD. and usually i don’t go for all these fannon-like arguments that western charity to the 3rd world is really just a patronizing form of racism. I mean, at lest she’s doing something. Bur MT is just askng for it. Or as that ol’ leftist hitch puts it in feministt terms:

MT was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction.

well, i’m just glad the US is in india now outsourcing and trying to “exploit ” the poor. no one in india want to be a charity case, but everyone wants to be exploited.
