Project Guest Blogger: Week Four

UPDATED!
A big thanks to Roy and SnowdropExplodes for their awesome guest-blogging this week. You guys are fantastic!

This week we’ll be joined by Flea, who usually writes over at One Good Thing, and Bint, who blogs at My Private Casbah. They’re both fantastic writers with unique voices, and I’m looking forward to having them on the blog.

The Sunday round-up is going to have to wait until tomorrow, because I have too much work to do tonight to post it. Sorry dudes. But hopefully you’re all very excited to have the lovely Flea return to this space, and the wonderful Bint write here for the first time — I know I am.

  1. Work on a Sunday night? I thought they were supposed to wine and dine the summer associates, and generally do everything to hide from them the fact that, when they return as full-timers, they’ll routinely be awoken at six am on weekend mornings by the buzzing of their beloved blackberries.

  2. I’m dismayed to read that there are going to be more guest bloggers. Another week of Roy’s “Hey, guys! Inflammatory, not even close to feminist statement! What do y’all think?!?!” would have lost me as a reader. It’s definitely dropped my esteem of this blog.

  3. Personally, I’m really psyched to have Flea and Bint posting this week- I’m really looking forward to seeing what they’ve got to say. I started reading Bint’s blog today, and right out of the gate, I’m sucked in. What a great voice.

Best of luck to the two of you!

  4. Wow, Ms. Guerita, that’s a lovely sentiment for a future guest blogger (yours truly) to hear. Those of us with tiny little blogs are already a bit nervous about suddenly having such a large stage–now that I know my guest blogging might spell the end of feministe, I might just go hide under a rock somewhere.

  5. No doubt, kactus. I have to admit, it was really intimidating coming from a blog where I’m lucky if I get 3 or 4 comments in a week to one where I could reasonably expect ten times that many in an hour. It was an eye-opening experience, and I actually learned several important lessons about blogging last week. I’m very sorry that you didn’t enjoy my time here, Ms. Guerita, but don’t let it sour you on the concept. I think that most of the big bloggers started on little blogs at some point, and you might really enjoy the contributions of some feministe’s other guests.

Regardless- I’m really looking forward to a lot of the guest posters, and I’m absolutely thrilled by all the new blogs that I’ve discovered as a result.

  6. I love the guest bloggers. I’m very excited about the upcoming guest bloggers, who include some truly awesome people. And you know, if you’re annoyed with a particular guest blogger, you just have to wait a week until they’re gone. Whereas if you discover someone awesome, you can start reading that person’s blog regularly.

  7. I’m enjoying the guest blogging. Thanks to all who give their time and effort to promoting and provoking discussion.

  8. Don’t worry, Roy. I’ll take the heat off you. Today, I’m talking about eyeball gonorrhea. Tomorrow, it’s pot.

  9. I’m dismayed to read that there are going to be more guest bloggers.

Uh, gee, thanks. I look forward to your support in my own guest-blogging endeavors.

  10. Well, Roy I enjoyed your blogging tremendously. I thought it was very good and tought provoking, and I may have to start reading your blog too now.

  11. I really have enjoyed the guest posts so far. It gives me hope that if I keep plugging, someday I might get to sub in for one of the big people, as I’m definitely metaphorically at the kids’ table now. Who knows, I might actually get to be a big person one day!

Anyway, even though sometimes I disagreed with some posts, I always disagree with all bloggers sometimes. I think the bloggers this week did really well, and I look forward to continuing to follow their blogs.
