Friday Random Ten – the “I totally got a bikini wax yesterday”* edition

  1. “Okay. All this talk about body hair on your blog must cease! If I read the phrase “hairy cooch” one more time, I’m going to LGF, and I’m never coming back!”

    Is that a promise?

    hairy cooch.

  2. Reading the phrase “bikini wax” makes me cringe—I can only image the horrors of having the “hair down there,” so to speak, be forcibly ripped out by the follicle. Ow.

  3. Jill, I’ve strongly supported your right — as a feminist — to be as hairy or barey as you like.

But I’m reeling at Tim McGraw. The fact that the list starts with the great Tom doesn’t mitigate the horror of finishing it with the egregious Tim. Please tell me you don’t own Faith Hill.

  4. Musique…. non-stop….
    1. Freak Momma by Mudhoney and Sir Mix-a-Lot
    2. A Well Respected Man by The Kinks
    3. Don’t Need You by Bikini Kill
    4. Sound of a Gun by The Buzzcocks
    5. Hey Girl (I Like Your Style) by The Temptations
    6. Sum of Us by Jurassic 5
    7. Infernal Dance of King Katschei by Isao Tomita
    8. New York Town by Flatt & Scruggs
    9. Little Mascara by The Replacements
    10. Playground by Deep Purple

  5. Apropos of absolutely nothing, I just wanted to leave a comment to say I really enjoy your blog and plan to start reading it more often. Keep up the good work.

  6. I’ve never had a bikini wax. What happens? What is it like? I know they remove *everything* but I wonder what position they have you in when they get down there. Does someone hold your ass cheeks apart? Do they make small talk? Do you get bumps or a rash?

I’d consider waxing if it meant I wouldn’t have to shave as often, but not if it’s gonna mean a series of bumps or ingrown hairs on my labia or asscrack because, you know, fuck that.

  7. Ow.
    Owowowowowowowowow.
    OW.

You know, I got allergy shots for years, and several times it was four shots twice a week for a couple of months. And they won’t rotate sites the way one does for insulin. (shrug) Twarn’t nuthin’, ma’am. And there’s no way in ten hells I’d let anyone rip out the hairs on my naughty bits. Whooo.

  8. I know, the Tim McGraw is weird. I thought about ignoring it and skipping to the next song, but I figured, if I can’t admit my secret love for some shitty country music here, where can I admit it?

  9. Well, I’m the last person to judge. I have no love for Tim McGraw. But from the shitty country music category, let me announce my secret fondness for Diamond Rio.

  10. Is the problem hairy cooches in particular, or the general discussion of pubis region and its grooming? I was just wondering, because if so we could just move the discussion to manscaping and hairy sacks to satisfy those with weak conversational constitutions.
for instance we could discuss the breath taking beauty of a freshly shorn scrotum. Especially when you consider that the room temperature can either make it really easy or really hard to do properly.

  11. I am so happy to see Tim McGraw though. It’s why I never do FRTs, cause I feel like a big nerd when I read everyone else’s fabulous collections. Country is not my favorite, but I do love Tim McGraw (and Faith Hill for that matter). I saw them in concert together and they were fantastic, but she was the best of the two by far.
