  1. Always, every two to four years, someone presents from either party who makes a very fitting reminder of the pull that power makes on the mind of a person.

Bearing the typical bloviation of pride and self importance gone horribly awry, Lieberman ignores those who put him in office and instead chooses to dance at the King’s Court.

Methinks the dance must come to an end. Mr. Lieberman, it is high time to get your coat and take leave.

  2. Facing a stronger-than-expected Democratic primary challenge from millionaire businessman Ned Lamont

Christ. That descriptor is about as neutral as “ivory-tower liberal” or “Washington bureaucrat”.

  3. What’s funny is that people in Connecticut are pretty comfortable with the idea that millionaires walk among them. I mean, the guy’s from Greenwich. People know what that means.

  4. I’m not sure what the issue with him being a millionaire is. Lieberman has a far bigger warchest than Lamont and Ned hasn’t yet announced any major personal expenditures on the race. Lieberman’s personal financial disclosures can be viewed here and I think it’s fairly obvious that he has far greater personal wealth than most Americans.

It’s nice to see clinton step in and put the DSCC in a position that will make it nearly impossible much harder for them to not back the winner of the CT primary. Hopefully some other senate Dems will step forward to push Schumer in the right direction.
