  1. i like the way the gator in florida was killed and eaten, while the one in PA goes to a “private animal facility.”

    whatever that means.

  2. But when you cross the Mason-Dixon line?

Head north of the US-Canadian border?

I seem to remember a story a few years ago about an alligator in Central Park. I’ve forgotten how it got loose there, but apparently it was eventually brought under control by a tourist who happened to be an alligator trainer from Florida. Who surely gets the prize for most suprising example of work cropping up in the middle of vacation.

  3. Now I’m all nostalgic for the morning traffic and gator report — some days I miss South Florida.

  4. I confess I love alligators. As a nature photographer, one of my continuing frustrations is my inability to get a really great alligator image. But I keep trying. Which means I’m sure to be eaten by one someday.

  5. I love alligators too, and it’s my understanding that they are considerably less aggressive than their more widespread cousins, the crocodiles.

  6. Well for every gator they ship out here I’m sending one pissed off grizzly bear to Miami.
