Hee. “Real soft.”

Eteraz sent me a link to his new carnival, The Carnival of Love and Lust:

I am tentatively setting the deadline date for Monday the 12th, so submit.

Writings in all genres, images, whatever, are accepted. No pornography though, please. No erotica, unless its real soft and has a bigger meaning. It can be love of God, love of wine, love of woman, love of idiocy, or love of lust. Anything: I suspect that people love in a lot of ways and I want to explore that.

In the end, the standard is: does this piece of writing create a bridge between me and another person?

This sounds like a really interesting idea. Cynthia Ozick just published a collection of essays about the love of reading and human contact; maybe I’ll write about that.

What with my deadline allergy, I have a love-hate relationship with carnivals. I’m a four-time loser for timely submissions–and those are just the ones I didn’t pretend not to know about. So I’ll encourage you all to submit, and I’m going to try really hard to actually get a post in. On time, even. More or less.
