Seems to me that in proving his own fidelity, he’s (possibly) set the stage for either a divorce or his wife’s infidelity. A little ironic. Dont’cha think?
I was thinking this was a pre-emptive strike myself, considering it’s supposedly common for a scorned Malaysian wife to castrate her cheating husband. More likely, it’s a grossly overhyped rumor. Hey, if I was a woman in a country where it was socially acceptable for my husband to cheat or take a second wife and AIDs were rampant, I wouldn’t mind that kind of rumor running around. The husband would notice I kept the cutlery extremely sharp and clean, too. That would be the end of it, though, I couldn’t do such a thing. All my latent EMT instincts would tear me apart, and I like my husband too much. Then again, in countries where infidelity and AIDs are rampant, vigilante castrations of those who knowingly transmit the virus could be considered reasonable. After all, the crime is essentially murder by viral poisoning.
Life-altering body modifications are the sort of thing one probably ought to sleep on for a few years before making the final cut, so to speak.
Not to be unduly mean, but I don’t see how cutting off his penis proved anything. Chopping it off didn’t mean that he didn’t cheat before. He might have proven that he was crazy, but it’s not exactly proof of fidelity.
