Missed a spot.

I’m about to have SRS, but somehow I never learned to do makeup properly. My lipstick covers most of the lower half of my face. I’m twitchy and neurotic, and correct people on their grammar and punctuation. Oh, and I have no friends.

Charlie Girl provides another (spoiler-heavy) review of Transamerica, including some pointed snark about an aspect of the film that escaped my notice completely.

  1. awesome – only thing it didn’t mock enough was the gratuitous nudity (um, could there be any other justification for toby than casting couch?). It really was just about that contrite a film, though in it’s defense some of those one dimensional characters were damned funny (I have to say that one-dimensional conservative mom hit a chord for me).

  2. I can’t figure out how to email in a link, so I’m leaving it here… Here’s the story of a judge ordering a victim to watch a videotape of her own rape.

  3. Weeellll…to be fair, a lot of us non-trans girlz never quite got the hang of makeup either, at least around the eyes, much as we like it. It’s a hand-eye coordination thing.

That is a fookin’ brilliant synopsis, though, I must say. Especially:

“Hi, my name is Doctor Plot Device.”

    Perfect.
