Everyone must, must read Butler’s book, Parable of the Sower – it so speaks to the world we’ll be living in if Bushco and their corporatocracy succeed in torching the safety nets our society took many decades to make. I’m heartbroken that Octavia is gone – we so badly needed her voice, ideas, and heart.
I love Parable of the Talents too. Hm…and of course, Lilith’s Brood, although it’s more on the sci fi tip than the political one.
