Adios, Feministe! August 30, 2009 Joe Sonka My two weeks of guest posting are up today, a big thanks to Jill and everybody here at the Feministe community for welcoming me. I leave you with some video from Nebraska yesterday, where Dr. Carhart’s allies outnumbered Operation Rescue almost 3:1. Yes, the clinic will stay open, for a long, long time.
It was more than reassuring to know that Dr. Carhart and his clinic are still standing. There is still much concern right now as to his safety as well as plenty of controversy over how much future protection both he and the clinic will need. Many are calling for governmental protection of such highly discussed clinics, and others want to see a shutdown of the surprising violent Operation Rescue.
