I’m not surprised, given his past misogynistic behavior (and the many instances of sexual harassment at AA). As far as the inconsistencies go, we’ve already seen that with their public pro-worker, private union-busting BS. And yes, he’s no one to criticize ANYONE for their looks.

Ok, where can I buy underpants that doesn’t give my money to scumbags? No, this is a serious question. I had always thought that while American Apparel was imperfect to say the very least, it was probably better than most developing world sweatshops where most of my underwear options are probably made. I’m sure women get fired for equally upsetting things all the time in maquiladoras. Underwear, involving elastic as it does, is actually among the more difficult garments to learn to sew yourself. And, I’m sorry, but even for social justice, I will neither buy my underwear used nor go without. I already wear it until it gets holes in it. If Dov Charney is that bad, seriously, what are the alternatives?
@ elle, would it be possible to make the underwear with drawstrings as opposed to elastic? Probably wouldn’t help any with the leg holes but I can see it simplifying things for the waist at least. Other than that I got nothing. I tend to go without unless I’m wearing a skirt. As for the actual post, oh yeah, yet another reason to never even set foot inside an AA store. I haven’t racked up enough of those yet.
