God, Save Us From Looting

The looting in New Orleans wouldn’t have happened if students were taught the 10 Commandments in schools. Cuz that’s the only way to learn that stealing is wrong. Plus, liberals steal, just like the commies. Although, as far as I can tell from the news coverage, looting would be avoided if only there weren’t any black people around. As Lauren pointed out earlier, black people loot. White people find stuff.

Peggy Noonan has a solution to stop looting: “Shoot ’em!” How very Republican and life-affirming of her. The (completely non-) Independent Women’s Forum agrees. (Disenfranchised? Rubbish!) And they pull the tsunami card.

  1. We’ve been talking about looting a lot at the Pepper … but this hadn’t come up … good job, Peggy. That’s the kind of solution that encourages lawlessness.

Ya know what? If we had the Big Government people like Peggy so desperately fear, we probably wouldn’t be in this jam and would have resources down there by now. Crikey, Peggy, take a Valium before you grab a gun and go to Nawlins!

Not to ramble, but I think that many in our government are using the “looting violence” as a way to buy time so they can coordinate rescues that they should have had in the first place. I saw an interview with a Pentagon lackey who said they simply couldn’t get down there because they “didn’t have enough information on the ground.” What more do they need?

  2. I almost had an aneurism from thinking about the coverage of “looting.” Personally I am ANGRY with MSM for labeling people who need food/water/clothing as looters. People who are taking guns and breaking into hospitals are looters. I can’t believe what comments I have read today about people angry that someone would have the nerve to want clean clothing and shoes after losing a house in a huricane? What is wrong with “those people?” AUGH! There is debris everywhere, and people shouldn’t break into a walmart for shoes… what are they to do, walk barefoot through the streets? Or starve from lack of food? Or get a fresh change of clothes…

I can (and have) ranted about this, and just can’t believe how judgemental people are of those who are victims of a hurricane. Don’t they ever wonder how they would handle the same situation? Why are they passing judgement from pictures that have not been given proper context?

And it is a tv… just a tv… who cares really? It is just a TV! How can so-called religious people advocate the shooting of another over just possessions?

And they say our society is materialistic….

Please pardon the rant… just can’t stand the painful images.
