That Music Thing

Okay, everyone’s doing it. If everyone else jumped off a bridge, I would too. Because the list accompanying the year of my high school graduation is so bad (I liked one solitary song) I’m completing the list, at Norbizness’ suggestion, from the year when I was thirteen.

If this doesn’t make me feel like a baby around you fogies I don’t know what will.

  1. I would do this meme, but I’m betting I won’t recognize half of the songs that come up for me. This would not be because they are obscure but because, when it comes to popular music, I am a total dork.

  2. I still have yet to discover the wonders of punk rock, but I think most everything on that list sucks (including the rap – sorry).

  3. These were popular when you were thirteen?!

Holy crap … I was in college when these songs were popular.

Thanks for making feel old. Now excuse me … I gotta find my walker and head to the 1 p.m. dinner buffet.

  4. Yikes. That was a bad year for popular music. Then again, I never really listen to the “popular” stuff. If that was 1994 then I must have been listening to Weezer and playing video games.

  6. unfortunately, when i was 13 (in 1992) i really hadn’t gotten into my own, and i can remeber liking pretty much everything pop at the time. (gag!). luckly, when i turned 14 grunge was “alternative” music, and i took to it like a duck to water. my music preferences are much tighter these days. i don’t even know what popular anymore! (oh, and i really actually like “rock me amadeus”)
