Oh No He Didn’t.

“If you’re planning on tea-bagging around the country, you’re going to need a Dick Armey.” And a graphic that says “Teabag Mouthpieces.”

  1. Hahaha teabagging…

I don’t understand why they’re doing this? How are tea bags relevant to anything Obama is doing?? Though their lack of creativity makes me giggl e too.

  2. Jenny, it’s a play on the Boston Tea Party (protesting taxation) and is timed around Tax Day or tax freedom day or something like that. If there’s another level, I’m missing it, too.

So I thought the GOP was going for the “Wholesome Prude” merit badge. This whole teabagging campaign is way dirtier than, I don’t know, Maplethorpe or whoever the conservatives’ latest immorality poster child is. Or am I honestly supposed to believe they had no idea when they were developing this campaign?

  3. I’m pretty sure that whoever suggested Dick Armey spearhead a public teabagging campaign had to be some kind of agent provocateur.

  4. He really said it. With the inflection and everything. Wow. Million Man March, Teabagging, Dick Army (that’s the way he said it).

(And David Vitter is publicly tight-lipped.)

Why don’t they just put Larry Craig at the head of the march and completely give in to the barely concealed massive homoerotic subtext? Republican men are mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore! They want scrotums in their mouths, in public, NOW!!

That would, actually, explain quite a bit.

Could Ed Schrock get his job back then?

  5. I had no idea so many innuendos could possibly be packed into the first few minutes of a major news story 😉

  6. Thomas: If the GOP is aiming at being covertly gay and patently absurd I think they should play “She’s My Man” at all of Palin’s public appearances.

Ryan: The difference between comedic genius and juvenile humor is being able to keep a straight face when you deliver the most sophomoric of lines.

  7. Dick Armey should be named the leader of the Army of Dicks, otherwise known as The Republican Party!!!!!!

What is it about the Republicans and Dicks???? There’s Dick Armey, Dick Cheney, Dick DeVos (Michigan), and of course the All Time King of Republican Dicks…Richard M. Nixon!!!!
