Bon Voyage, Bush!

Planned Parenthood of New York City is throwing a great inauguration bash in New York. I will sadly not be there because I’m heading down with the hordes to DC on Saturday for the inauguration (anyone have an extra ticket?), but it sounds like a great event, so spread the word. Plus there will be buses from the event down to Washington, so it’s the best of all worlds:

New York (NY): On the eve of the biggest political event in at least eight years, Planned Parenthood of New York City will be hosting a cruise-themed Bon Voyage Bush party. With comedian Jeff Hiller MCing and set around Galapagos’s large pond, the event will feature politically-themed cruise games such as shuffleboard and lame ‘rubber duckie” races, as well as drink specials, comedians, musicians, DJs and hundreds of young activists. After the party, buses will be leaving at 1am to ferry partygoers down to DC for the inauguration.

WHO: Jeff Hiller (UCB, Ghost Town, 30 Rock, MTV) as the MC
Other Comedians, Musicians, DJs and Live Performers
Young Progressive New Yorkers
Planned Parenthood of New York City

WHAT: Bon Voyage to Bush Party, including
Shuffleboard competition

1AM Buses down to DC for the inauguration

WHEN: Monday, Jan 19, 2009

WHY: Because after eight years of the Bush administration, isn’t it about time we celebrated?

Cruisewear is encouraged.

  1. On the eve of the biggest political event in at least eight years,

Wouldn’t that have been the election?

To all people there, readers too !

Congratulations for your efforts for the rights of Women, Children, and for a better world in general. Thanks for Excellent Website Feministe.us.

The Greatest Political Event these days is the Inauguration of Mr Obama as President. Billions of people will turn on their TV sets to watch.

I congratulate all people, and Blacks specially for this man that is going to be a Great President, that is my intuition and hunch.

But his tasks are daunting and almost impossible. To recover the Economy and solve this tangled Wars is not easy. He needs patience.

I think that he, Ms Clinton and other nice people with him, will do a lot for Women and their Children and families. Like the Health System.

And also to protect the rights and integrity of Unmarried Women.

It is very sad when we see how Women are treated in many countries.

I am specially interested in Politics and Youth. And in the advancement of all races, minorities and ethnics.

That is why I operate :
