Obama announces key DOJ positions

And they’re good.

Harvard Law Dean Elena Kagin is Obama’s pick for Solicitor General. Dawn Johnson (a progressive Con Law professor at Indiana University, and former NARAL legal director) is the selection for Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel.

Good work, O.

  1. Thanks for the link.

I’m hoping Civil Rights gets someone good. And hopefully the U.S. Attorney’s office will reopen its public integrity office in my region. They shut it down and investigations dropped even as reports of misconduct were higher.

  2. Just reading Dawn Johnsen’s c.v. (as summarized at the Change.gov site) made me happy — I love her most recent published article. And bringing in someone who worked for NARAL is excellent.
