Feminist Blogs

I am currently rearranging my blog links into categories, one of which is “feminist blogs.” I am including not only those people who write on feminism, but also those who declare themselves expressly feminist, pro-feminist, womanist, etc.

If, when it appears I am completed, you would consider yourself a blogging person who falls into this category but is not included on this list, let me know here in the comments. Male bloggers, please give me permission to include you, as I know some men occasionally have issues with the label. Conversely, if you find yourself on the list and don’t think you should be there, plase let me know. No backlash, I swear.

AND, if you are a feminist blogger who is not already included in my list of links, drop me a line and I’ll include you. Link for all!

  1. I’m pretty certain I qualify as a radical feminist. I submit my resume here. Thanks for carrying the banner in Indiana, and I’m thrilled about my Anti-Award.

  2. First of all, count me in on the feminism roll. You can blogroll me or not: I’m sometimes less than stable, and it sometimes shows in my blog. I’m always a little nervous about setting a bad example for any group I align myself with. (Sounds real together, huh. Hey, wanna be my friend?) At any rate, I rant a little on the topic at http://amydeferrari.blogspot.com/2005/01/feminism.html

  3. I’m definitely a feminist, although I haven’t gotten around to writing much of anything on the subject on my blog since the redesign and move late last year. One day, perhaps. Link me or not as you desire; I just figured I’d poke my head in as a relatively new reader.

  4. Not really related to your post, but … if I had a blog I’d be blogging about the firing of the CBS executives today. Does anybody else think it’s questionable that of the four executive fired over the story about Bush in the National Guard — three of them are women? I doubt that the ratio of female to male executives at CBS is 3:1. Trying not to jump to unfounded conclusions … but it doesn’t look too good.

  5. Is it sad how validated and all “in with the cool crowd” I felt to see my blog on the feminist roll? I promise to be worthy and post something about feminism within two days from now, just to live up to the name. Lately it’s been a bit on the autobiographical side, anyhoo. Something substantial should make its appearance just to break the monotony. 🙂

  6. i feel like this is some sort of feminist roll call. i would like to be listed amongst my feminist sisters and brothers! 🙂
i must say i felt like a dork this afternoon, cos my heart skipped a beat when i saw my blog listed… your blog was one of the blogs that inspired me to start blogging again. 😀

  7. I have no issues with being a regarded as a male feminist and am quite honored and humbled to be one. Although I generally don’t play up labels, the fact remains that there are too few out there. I periodically include issues relating to feminism in my blog. Unfortunately, of late I have only had postings on its coming under attack from the social conservatives.

  9. Thanks for including “Alas” on the list. It’s really cool that you’re doing this.

Although you didn’t ask folks to recommend or point out blogs not their own, I’ll do it anyway: Body & Soul belongs on the list, imo.

  10. Hi — I’d love to be added. I’m a feminist, and I write about motherhood, writing, and feminism (sometimes even all at once). Though my blog is not always explicitly about feminism, I recently gave a keynote address at an international conference on motherhood and feminism. Does that count?
