    1. Interesting article. Although I don’t doubt that many homosexual people (especially woman) are going to be annoyed with how some of these people “chose” to be a different sexuality. Since for most people, sexual orientation does not change, and most gays and lesbians are very proud to be born that way. So even though, the article is understandable as to why some women chose to live their lives that way since street harassment is a disgusting thing; there is still going to be the worry from others that some ignorant people will think that this represents “ALL” queers.

I’ve actually heard of men who have done the same thing. Not through harassment, but they felt like they had bad experiences with women and therefore tried going with men.

    2. Good rebuttal. That some women like wearing make-up and fussing with their hair doesn’t change the fact that make-up and certain styles of hair are mandated for women in ways that they are not for men; and that opting out of make-up/time-consuming hair styles can cost women.

That’s the point you were making, and it’s a good one.

  1. I’m using NaBloPoMo to explore blogging as an art form. Today, I started to explore if Queer Identity plays a role in that.

CN: transphobia, misgendering I also wrote about the tragic news of the murder of the 9th TWOC this year. Please note that I’m having trouble confirming her preferred name, but I believe it is Ashley Sherman.

    CN: transphobia, homophobia
Voting is imperative as the transgender community bearing the brunt of the anti-LGBTQ attacks, at least in Pennsylvania.

For fun, I’m giving away Bette Midler’s new album – “It’s the Girls”

  2. Anyone who lives in Arizona or is simply interested in church/state separation might be interested in our article on Center for Arizona Policy, a far-right evangelical group that lobbies, writes legislation, and is the driving force behind some of Arizona’s most harmful laws.

One of our sex educators wrote about her experiences teaching Arizona teenagers, who, having no previous background in sex education, might react to her sex-positive lessons with fear, contrary to her intentions.

I wrote about what “reportable” STDs are — how the reporting process works, and how privacy is maintained.

Lastly, if you live in Arizona, please share our election coverage with your friends and family. We have interviews with candidates from school board elections up to the gubernatorial race — all important!
