On GRITtv with Laura Flanders

The lovely Laura Flanders graciously had me on her show today, along with Mario Murillo and Russ Baker. In small-world strangeness, Mario was my first journalism professor at NYU. It was a great panel, and even though I say “you know” too much, I think it’s worth checking out, if only for the very insightful commentary from Laura, Mario and Russ. We discuss Dr. Tiller, Obama’s Middle East trip, GM, and Sotomayor:

So when does Laura get her own cable news show?

  1. You were extremely fluent, and the “you knows” were totally unnoticeable and just part of your flow. Murillo said “you know” much more than you did, and also mumbled half the time. And Baker was all “uuhhh, uuhhh, uuhhh”.

    You kicked ass!

  2. Help. This is blogwhoring of a different nature. I’m part of an Oklahoma network (the reddest state in the country) and put up a post about Doctor Tiller. So, its like me against everybodyelse. I could use a little help here, as well as go to their sites and post opposing views. They are very close minded but perhaps we could nudge them.

By the way, this conversation is exclusively male. We could use a woman’s perspective. Thanks.

  3. You were great! Also, assuming that Laura pronounced your last name correctly, I’ve been saying it wrong for a long time. Oops! 🙂

  4. I thought the panel was awesome. I didnt notice you saying “you know” at all. We’re usually much more critical of ourselves than others are 😀 Id never seen GritTV either. Ive added that to my bookmarks.
